An RRID is a unique reference tag associated with a specific research resource. Robust metrics tracked by an RRID in publications enable the metrics needed for requesting new instrument funding and promotes meticulous rigor and reproducibility of research results.
The Central Analytical Laboratory facility, located in room C1B90 in the JSC Biotechnology Building, currently houses several Waters UPLCs and five mass spectrometers to provide structural information on various samples (from small organic molecules to large proteins). The facility is available to analyze samples from the both University of Colorado and non-Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØsources.

Our instruments are used to confirm the identity of various organic and inorganic compounds including liquid crystals, carboranes, proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides using both positive and negative ionization modes.

Waters ACQUITY M-CLASS UPLC PDA
Description:
Waters ACQUITY M-CLASS UPLC with a photodiode array(PDA) detector provides rapid liquid chromatographic separation with UV/visible absorbance detection. It is suitable for qualitative and quantitative analysis of compounds containing UV- or visible-absorbing chromophores. The detector supports single- and dual-wavelength monitoring and uses a low-volume light-guiding flow cell to minimize chromatographic band broadening.

Waters SELECT SERIES Cyclic IMS QToF ESI
Description:
Waters SELECT SERIES Cyclic IMS is a high-resolution hybrid quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer combining electrospray ionization with cyclic ion-mobility separation. It separates ions according to mass-to-charge ratio and collision cross-section, enabling detailed analysis of isomers, conformers and complex biological mixtures. Multiple passes through the cyclic mobility device provide progressively higher ion-mobility resolution.

It supports electrospray and nanoelectrospray ionization for qualitative and quantitative analysis of small molecules, metabolites, lipids, peptides and proteins. The system provides precursor selection using a quadrupole, HCD fragmentation and high-resolution Orbitrap detection.

It combines quadrupole precursor-ion selection, accelerated higher-energy collisional dissociation and ultra-high-field Orbitrap detection. The system is suitable for proteomics, biopharmaceutical analysis and small-molecule identification and quantification. It supports electrospray ionization and optional nanospray sources. ()
