What is an employee ID (EID) number?

An employee ID number (EID) is a unique 6-digit number given to a University of Colorado "employee" upon entry into the payroll system. It is not your social security number (SSN) or IdentiKey. If you have an EID, you'll find it by searching in the Buff Portal using "employee identification."
