Program Requirement
- 5 public service hours per year in PLC
- 5 experiential hours per year in PLC
- 5 service to PLC hours each year for student staff members
Service Awards
- PLC Change-Maker Service Award: Earn 60+ service hours each year they are PLC receive a medal at graduation + digital recognition badge
- PLC Service Leader Award: Earn 40+ service hours each year they are in PLC receive a cord at graduation + digital recognition badge
- PLC Community Contributor Service Award: Earn 20+ service hours each year receive a digital recognition badge

Types of Service and Experiential Hours

Public service opportunities are transformative allowing PLCers to reflect on their positionality in the community. Public service, exposes PLCers to intercultural perspectives helping to create leaders who understand real community needs through critical thought, applied leadership skills, and civic responsibility. Public service hours will be logged by the service team. Please find the

- Garden to Table, PB n’Ìý Luvin, Meals on the Streets, Meals at All Roads Shelter, STEM mentors, As You Are Facilitators

Experiential opportunities are hands-on experiences that promote career readiness, cultural awareness, ethical engagement, interpersonal growth, and reflection. Experiential hours will be logged by the team lead of the team that put on the event. Please find the

- Industry Nights, Professional Develop Workshops, Follow Me to PLC host, etc.

Service to PLC is essential for all PLCers. It is important that students give back to the program that gives us so much. While service to PLC hours are only required for student staff members, service to PLC opportunities can be used as experiential hours for other PLCers.Ìý
