Assistant Professor in AI

The Department of Mathematics at the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØ invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in Fall 2027 (August 2027). We are especially interested in candidates working at the interface of artificial intelligence and mathematics. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the mathematical foundations of AI, formalization and automated reasoning, advancement of AI for mathematical research, and AI safety. We seek candidates who can lead development of AI-related research, education, and programming within the Department of Mathematics and across the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder campus. Ìý

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field by the start of the appointment. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain an active, independent research program, to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to contribute to the service and intellectual life of the department.​

Assistant Professor in Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a tenure-track position, at the level of Assistant Professor. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in the areas of algebraic geometry, homotopy theory, foundations, and functional analysis, as well as candidates with expertise that involves interdisciplinary collaboration between mathematics and computer science or the mathematics of quantum physics. Outstanding applicants from any research area may be considered. This position will start in the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027).ÌýÌý
