Disability Services Portal Transition

Disability Services is continuing the transition to AIM, our student-facing accommodation management system. As we complete this transition, you may notice updates to our website and processes. Thank you for your patience during this period.

Please use AIM for your accommodation-related needs. If you have questions or need assistance during this transition, please contact your Access Coordinator or the Disability Services front office at dsinfo@colorado.eduÌý(303-492-8671). Please do not attempt to log in to the previous accommodation management system, Accommodate Portal.

With AIM, students can:

  • Manage accommodation letters
  • Submit accommodation requests
  • Request appointments with their Access Coordinator after completing the registration process
  • Access accommodation-related services and resources

Returning Students AIM Information

Returning students to Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder who have registered with Disability Services previously, you will now be using AIM to manage your accommodations.

How to access AIM Ìý

Step 1: Access

Step 2: Select “Studentâ€� under “What type of user are you?â€�Ìý

Step 3: Use your Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØIdentiKey Credentials to log inÌý

Application for AccommodationsÌý

Step 1: Access the Ìý

Step 2: Select “Start New Applicationâ€� for either Academic or Housing, Dining, and Parking accommodationsÌý

Step 3: Complete the personal information section. Once completed, select “Create Application Draftâ€� to continue.Ìý

Step 4: Complete the questionnaire section of the form. Once completed, you may select “Save and upload documentation� if you have documentation ready to submit, “Continue – information release and consents� to allow others (parents, providers, advocates, etc.) access to the details of your request, or “Proceed to final review."

Step 5: Once you are ready to submit your application, select “Submit Applicationâ€� from the top ribbonÌý

Step 6: Select “Submit applicationâ€�ÌýÌý

You will receive an email confirmation once the application has been successfully submitted.Ìý

Submit Semester RequestsÌý

Accommodations do not renew automatically. Returning students must submit a Semester Request each semester so instructors are notified of their approved accommodations.Ìý

  • You can submit a Semester Request five (5) business days before the start of the semester.Ìý
  • If you add or change courses after submitting your request, you will need to submit an additional Semester Request for the new course(s).Ìý
  • If new accommodations are approved for you, modify your semester request for each class so your instructors receive the most current information.
  • After submitting your Semester Request, schedule time to meet with your instructors to discuss how your accommodations will be implemented.Ìý

Step 1: Log in to AIM.Ìý

Step 2: Select the “Student and Staffâ€� box to start the sign in process.Ìý

Step 3: Once you have logged into AIM, you will select “List Requestsâ€� under the “Accommodationsâ€� section on the far-left side of the screen.Ìý

Step 4: Select “Add Requestsâ€� under the “Accommodations Requestâ€� tile for the current semester.Ìý

Step 5: Select the courses that need to request Accommodations for.Ìý

Note: If you select courses and click on “Continue to next stepâ€�. Here, you may select which accommodations you would like to request for each course.Ìý

Otherwise, you may select “Apply the same accommodations to all selected coursesâ€� and it will apply the same accommodations to all courses.Ìý

Step 7: Select “Submit Request."

Step 8: After you submit your request, you may modify the request through the AIM Portal by selecting “Modify Request."

Step 9: Reach out to Disability Services with any questions.Ìý

If new accommodations are approved for you, or you would like to change the accommodations you have requested for your classes, modify your semester requests so your instructors receive the most current information.

Once you finish your submission, you will receive an email confirmation.Ìý

Upload Further Supporting DocumentationÌýÌý

You may upload documentation to an existing supplemental academic request.Ìý

Step 1: Login the AIM portalÌýÌý

Once you finish your submission, you will receive a confirmation at the top of the page.Ìý

Release of InformationÌý

Students may release access to details regarding their accommodation requests, eligibility, and records to parents, advocates, providers, or any other individuals through written permission. To do so, students will complete the Release of Information during the Information Release and Consents step of the application.Ìý

Step 1: Select “Release of Informationâ€� under consent form typeÌý

Step 3: Complete release form. Once completed, you must select “Confirm to Proceedâ€� after reading the Information Release Consent Agreement, and then “Submit Information Release Consent formâ€�Ìý

Generate a PDF Copy of your Accommodation LettersÌý

Step 1: Login to the AIM Portal.Ìý

Step 4: Select “View Noteâ€� under the “Available Noteâ€� tileÌý

Step 5: Download and view notes uploaded by the notetaker. You may filter by subject, upload date, and file name.Ìý
