Mesa Quantum raises $11.8M to scale GPS-independent quantum timing
Mesa Quantum, a Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØ startup developing chip-scale quantum sensing technology, has raised an oversubscribed $11.8 million round led by Playground Global. The funding will help the company move from component-level development to full system integration and scaled production of deployable quantum timing and navigation units.
Mesa Quantum is working to address the global dependence on vulnerable satellite-based GPS signals for time synchronization across data centers, power grids, financial markets and military operations. The round brings the company’s total venture funding to nearly $16 million, and Mesa Quantum is expanding its operations in New Mexico, establishing manufacturing infrastructure at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT) and through its Sandia National Laboratories partnerships.
