We were both a lot younger when I started teaching at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØ46 years ago. Now we are both older—and greener. The Environmental Center celebrates its 50th anniversary today as the nation’s first student-led environmental center, founded on the first Earth Day in 1970.

This year's events include a story gallery walk-through, a stand-up comedy show, an Environmental Center anniversary party and more. Join the campus community for these virtual celebrations.

The E-Center has helped Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder lead in sustainability among universities nationally throughout the decades. Student ingenuity and passion, supported by staff members, has proven to be a successful model.

Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØEmployee Services is highlighting an opportunity through Skillsoft to take a sustainability course on ways we can all act in service of a better future—open to students and instructors as well.
