City to begin construction of flood protection project at Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder South

The city of Boulder hasÌý at Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder South in about six weeks.

°Õ³ó±ðÌý2021 annexation of Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder South capped a yearslong collaboration between Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder, the city and the community to bring flood protection for 2,300 downstream residents, housing for Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder students, faculty and staff, and 119 acres of new permanently protected open space to the site.Ìý

Completion of the flood protection project will pave the way for Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder development of housing and other amenities, along with open space restoration.

During flood protection construction
