As summer approaches, youth programs across �鶹��Ѱ�����Boulder ramp up, bringing K–12 students to campus for camps, workshops and enrichment opportunities. With these opportunities comes a shared responsibility to ensure programs are safe, compliant and set up for success.

At �鶹��Ѱ�����Boulder, the Office of Compliance, Ethics and Policy supports faculty and staff in navigating requirements, reducing risk and upholding university standards across a range of areas—including youth programs.

“Many people don’t realize there are specific requirements tied to hosting youth on campus,” said Lee Yoon Ho Potter, youth protection compliance manager. “We want to make it easy to know where to start.”

�鶹��Ѱ�����Boulder offers a central hub for youth program registration and guidance, designed to help faculty and staff navigate the process quickly.

If you’re planning a youth program, start with these steps:

• Visit the youth program registration page to review requirements and determine your program type (affiliated or third-party).
• Complete the registration process to ensure alignment with the Youth Protection Policy.
• Use available tools and guidance to move through next steps.

As a resource for the campus community,��Lee Yoon Ho Potter offers��free youth protection and child abuse-prevention training��for anyone working with or around youth.��

“Youth are part of our campus community in many ways,” Potter said. “The more awareness and preparation we have, the better experience we can create for everyone.”
