As fall sports are winding down and winter sports are starting, a number of Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØvarsity programs are excelling in competition.Ìý

Soccer, volleyball, and cross-country are competing in NCAA championships or soon will be. Men's and women's basketball are both fielding strong teams that will be fun to watch.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý

Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØwomen’s soccer won their 16th game of the season, a program record, in thrilling fashion with a double-overtime win over Utah State in the first game of the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 14. They'll now hit the road to face Xavier University in a second-round tilt that will be played in East Lansing, Michigan, on Nov. 20.Ìý

Record: 16-3-3 (currently a 3-seed)

The Buffs volleyball team has eclipsed 20 wins for the second time since 2017 and has been particularly dangerous against their fellow ranked teams, racking up four wins versus ranked opponents so far this season.ÌýÌý

Both the men's and women's cross country teams had strong showings at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships and will be competing in the NCAA Championships this Saturday.Ìý

The men will be making their 55th appearance in the national meet and 33rd in a row, the third-longest active streak in the nation. The women will be heading to the championships for the 34th time and will be making their 31st appearance over the last 33 years. ÌýÌý

Rankings: Men–6/Women–16Ìý (new rankings will come out on Nov. 18)

Tune in:ÌýNov. 22: The men's and women's teams will be competing at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Columbia, Missouri. The women will race at 9 a.m., MT, with the men to follow. It will be broadcast on ESPN+.

JR Payne's Buffs are again loaded with talent and are expected to be a force in the Big 12 this year.ÌýColorado is coming off a 77–45 thrashing of Portland State University on Sunday that featured a career-high 19 points from freshman forward Logan Greer, who is one of many newcomers to watch this season.ÌýÌýÌý

The Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØmen's basketball team is off to a perfect 3–0 start after beating Big East Conference opponents Providence 97–88 at the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØEvents Center last Friday. The Buffaloes are loaded with exciting young talent, including electric freshman point guard Isaiah Johnson, who scored 24 second-half points in his Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØdebut in a win over Montana State.Ìý
