a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)ÌýeducationÌýoutreach program atÌýthe Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØ. Science DiscoveryÌýmanages programs that engage K-12 students andÌýteachers in STEM and connectÌýpublic audiencesÌýwith the STEM research happening at Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder. Science Discovery programs utilizeÌýÂé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØscientific expertise, equipment, resources and faculty, graduate andÌýundergraduate students in order to provide participantsÌýwith unique, experiential STEM learning experiences.
STEM Pathfinder Programs are two-week immersive experiences for high school students (rising 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students) designed to explore diverse fields within biosciences or engineering at Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder.Ìý
Each participating Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder department hosts high school students for two days, where they'll get an opportunity to dive in to hands-on activities, join lab tours, and engage in conversations with faculty and students. STEM Pathfinder Department Guides spearhead development and facilitation of their department's experience with support from Science Discovery staff.
Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØScience Discovery is excited to announce its first-ever Colorado Teen Science Café Summit! The Café Summit is a chance for all Colorado Teen Science Café locations – Aurora, Boulder, Pueblo and Thornton – to debrief and learn from each other's experiences, identify future guest speakers, and celebrate accomplishments. Not able to attend a Teen Science Café this school year? Not a problem!
