Grace Burleson is giving a virtual talk titled "Designing for People and Context: Integrating Social, Political, and Institutional Factors in Product Design" on Wednesday, November 19th at 1:30 p.m. for the ��Seminar Series.

The presentation will provide an overview of recent advances in design theory and methodology that broaden how “context” is understood within engineering design. Burleson will also highlight ongoing research on stakeholder perspective-taking as a means to strengthen designers’ ability to recognize and respond to contextual considerations. and show your support!

The Committee for Equity in Mechanical Engineering (CEME) and the ME Grad Program invite you to join us for this year’s Heritage Feast, an annual event celebrating connection, culture, and community within the Mechanical Engineering graduate program. The event will take place on Thursday, November 20 from 9 to 10:45 a.m. in DLC 1B70.��

This year, in light of increasing food insecurity and the recent cuts to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, which have impacted many students and families across our campus (learn more here), we’re turning our shared meal into an act of giving.

Instead of our traditional potluck, we will provide burritos and coffee for everyone to enjoy (while supplies last). We invite you to “pay what you can” for your meal with every dollar donated going directly to the Buff Pantry (�鶹��Ѱ�����Boulder’s on-campus food pantry) to support �鶹��Ѱ�����students experiencing food insecurity. You’re also encouraged to bring non-perishable foods, personal care items, or household cleaning supplies (all in original packaging) for donation.

If you are unable to attend but would still like to contribute, you can . When donating, click the box that says “I am giving on behalf of an organization” and list “CEME” as the organization name. We can’t wait to celebrate with you while making a difference within our community!
