Initial Trainings
Below are all of the required training that all new lab members must complete prior to being added to any protocol. If other project-specific trainings are required, either Dr. Shearston or a PRA will reach out to you with further information.

| Human Subjects | CITI Human Subjects Research course: Biomedical Research Investigators and Key Personnel | /researchinnovation/research-administration/office-research-integrity-compliance/CITI | Follow the instructions on the page with the link to log in. Select "Add a Course", check the Human Research for the IRB" box, select Next, then select "Biomedical Research Investigators and Key Personnel" and select next. The course should appear in your Active Courses section. Complete all modules. Pdf and save your certificate. Give to Dr. Shearston to store on file. |

| Laboratory Safety | EH&S Lab On-Boarding | /ehs/node/115/laboratory-onboarding | Once you are added as a member to the Shearston Lab on SciShield, you will be emailed a link to complete the training. Alternatively, follow the link in column C, click on the "Training" option, and follow the instructions to complete the required modules. Once completed, save and forward a copy of your certificate to Dr. Shearston. |
