As soon as you know who will be on your committee, inform the Education Coordinator (HistGrad@colorado.edu).
As your final semester approaches,Ìýnotify the department’s education coordinator atÌýHistGrad@colorado.edu and pay close attention to these deadlines for graduation requirements from the Graduate School to avoid any unpleasant surprises:
For MA students, you must apply both for candidacy and to graduate early in the term in which you plan to graduate. Use the portal to apply to graduate and the link on the forms page to apply for candidacy. Find the form and instructionsÌýhere to apply for candidacy early in the semester. Review the graduate school checklists for your plan as well.Ìý
When you have the date of your defense, the Education Coordinator (HistGrad@colorado.edu) can help you find space for your defense. If you have Ìýthe title of your thesis ready, please pass that along as well.
Once you have your thesis or portfolio defense scheduled, plan to submit theÌýMaster’s Final Examination Form at least two weeks prior to your exam date.ÌýÌý
Keep track of the deadline for Thesis Submission for your term and plan in advanceÌýto have your work formatted according to the required guidelines. The Graduate School recommends that a pre-check of your format be done before you submit the final version.Ìý You can request that by e-mailing a pdf of your thesis toÌýgradinfo@colorado.edu.ÌýYouÌýwill also need to plan ahead so that you can send and receive yourÌýThesis Approval Form ²ú±ð´Ú´Ç°ù±ðÌýthe submission deadline. Give your Committee Chair and second reader enough time to sign the form.ÌýÌý
