Disability Services is transitioning from Accommodate to AIM, our new student-facing accommodation management system.Ìý

Important DatesÌý

  • Last day to access Accommodate: Sunday, Aug. 2ÌýÌý
  • System downtime: Monday, Aug. 3 -Tuesday, Aug. 4Ìý
  • First day to access AIM: Wednesday, Aug. 5Ìý

During the transition, students will not have access to either the Accommodate Portal or AIM on Monday, Aug. 3-Tuesday, Aug. 4Ìý

AIM allows students to:Ìý

  • Manage accommodation lettersÌý
  • Submit accommodation requestsÌý
  • Request appointments with your Access Coordinator once you have completed the registration processÌý
  • Access accommodation-related services and resourcesÌý

Accommodate Portal for Faculty

The fall semester has officially started, and that means faculty have started to receive accommodation letters from students.

Disability Services is excited to introduce a new software program called Ìýto help manage accommodation requests and implementations. Here’s everything you need to know about this new program.

What is Accommodate

Accommodate is a software program that features student and faculty portals. This program is intended to ease and streamline the accommodation management process for students, staff and faculty.

How to get started

Accommodate will automatically generate accommodation letters for students once they have been approved through the Disability Services office. Faculty will receive an email notification via their Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder email account for each accommodation letter that is generated for their course(s).

Faculty can also sign into Ìýusing their Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder IdentiKey and password. Once signed in, you will be able to review all student accommodations for each of your courses. Check out the Faculty User Guide for assistance logging in to Accommodate.

We encourage students and faculty to review accommodation letters together in order to determine how to effectively implement accommodations in each class.

Faculty expectations

As in previous semesters, students are expected to schedule a (virtual) meeting with faculty to discuss their accommodations. During this meeting, implementation plans for accommodations are established. Make sure the agreement is clear to both of you. Faculty are expected to clarify and/or confirm testing accommodations with students prior to each exam.
