Programs & Virtual Activities

We organize activities and programs thatÌýdive deeply into the ideas behind, and questions raised by, our exhibitions and collections. We also create programs to exploreÌýthe creativeÌýresearch occurring throughout the university. Whether gallery talks, faculty lectures, expert conversations, concerts, performances, or workshops we welcome students and the public to join us for our free programs at the museum and around CU'sÌýcampus. Embracing Native Joy at the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØArt Museum - Drop-in Art Day

Thursday, November 20th from 10am–4pm at the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØArt Museum

Join us this Indigenous Heritage Month in celebrating native joy and creating art at the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØArt Museum. Collage vision boards and zines and learn how to make your very own crepe paper flowers! We'll also have indigenous artworks from the collection on view from 11am–12pm in the study center.

Art materials and refreshments will be provided.

Free and all are welcome.

This event is presented by CNAIS, The Center for Cultural Connections and Community, and the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØArt Museum.

Third Thursday Sound Bath Meditation

Every Third Thursday during academic year 25-26 from 12:15–12:45pm at the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØArt Museum

Join us every third Thursday this fall for a restorative sound bath meditation. Designed to relax your body and mind with healing music. The sound vibrations will help guide your consciousness toward a calm and peaceful state of mind.

Get creative with us on the second Saturday of each month! Each month we’ll be putting together a different art-themed program that you can drop in on. Come in and color with us or even pick up a new skill!

Feel Good Fridays Guided Meditation

You are invited to this weekly hybrid workshop to learn about a work of art and then participate in a related mindfulness practice. You are welcome to join us in the museum galleries in person or virtually via Zoom. The powerful, guided meditation can undo stress, soothe the nervous system, and help youÌýfeelÌýrelaxed and revitalized. If practiced regularly, the meditation teaches a method forÌýfeeling calm, easeful, and resilient, even when facing life’s challenges. Meditations are open to students, faculty, staff, and the public. All are welcome and there is no need for past experience with meditation. Registration is required if attending virtually.ÌýAll sessions begin promptly at 12:15.
