MCDB Internship Program ($2,500 per Semester)
Gain Hands-On Experience in the Stem Cell FieldÌý
The STEMTECH Center is excited to offer the MCDB Internship Program, a unique opportunity for MCDB students to design and conduct their own stem cell research project while gaining valuable laboratory experience.
This MCDB-funded internship allows students to work with human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) and stem cell-derived cultures while learning advanced cell culture techniques used in modern biomedical research.

Internship Benefits
- Award: $2,500 per semester
- Duration: Up to two semesters
- Academic Credit Available
- 45 hours of work = 1 credit
- Credits may be earned across semesters
MCDB students Will:
- Develop and conduct their own research project using hiPSCs and/or stem cell-derived cell types.
- Receive hands-on training at the STEMTECH Center.
- Learn sterile cell culture techniques and best practices to prevent contamination.
- Gain experience with stem cell maintenance, differentiation, and laboratory research methods.
- Strengthen technical, analytical, and professional skills that are highly valued in research and biotechnology careers.
