Since 2016, the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBiophysics program has trained 71 NIH-funded trainees, 24 CU-funded trainees, and 6 affiliates. Our trainees are extremely successful:
- 100% of NIH-supported trainees have earned graduate degrees (87.5% PhD/certificate and 12.5% MS)
- The average time to completion of a PhD is 5.6 years
- PhD graduates average 4 total publications and 2 first-author publications
- 100% of PhD graduates secured postdoctoral or science-related employment after graduation
Some of the positions held by our trainees include:
- Postdoctoral researchers, at locations including the Scripps Institute, Oregon Health & Science University, and the University of Wisconsin
- Scientists and researchers at companies like Watchmaker Genomics, Enveda, and Bristol Myers Squibb
- Patent agent
- Medical writer
