Bachelor of Arts in Music
The Bachelor of Arts degree in music allows our students to refine their musical talent while also receiving a broad education within a liberal arts context. Students develop musicianship, their music performance skills and foundational knowledge of music as an art. They explore special interest areas that are in line with their career and educational goals.

Academic Plan & Requirements
To earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in music, students must complete a minimum of 120 credit hours.
Students can choose from our four areas of emphasis:
- General
- Music Technology and Media Studies
- Musicology and World Musics
- Music in conjunction with an engineering degree
About half of our students in the BA program also study a second major outside of the College of Music.
