Dear colleagues,

Welcome to the start of a new academic year and to the first edition of the Provost's Post for 2026–27. I hope the summer provided plenty of opportunities for rest, recreation and renewal. As we begin a new year of teaching, research, scholarship, creative work and service, I am excited by the opportunities ahead, and grateful for all that you do to advance our institutional priorities.

In this edition, I outline the considerable achievements of the spring and summer within academic affairs and across the campus, including new faces on my team and new policy and process updates. 

This issue also features a suite of important updates on priorities and projects that you’ll want to read to start the year informed and ready.
