Terkel's book changed how people talked about work by listening to the experiences of ordinary people. The same book inspired Dave Isay's collection, "Callings: The Purpose and Passion of Work," this year's Buffs One Read. Stop in any time to view the docuseries and grab some popcorn. Observatory Open House

Stop by the observatory for free telescope viewing of the moon, planets, galaxies, nebulae and other celestial objects. Sessions typically last from one to two hours and are only held on clear nights.

Publish, not Perish: De-mystifying the Submission and Peer Review Process
