At its meeting Sept. 10, the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoard of Regents heard an update on enrollment numbers, named a chair to lead the search for a new system president, approved changes to tuition classification for American Indian students and more.
Members of the Colorado Competitive Council visited Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder and toured Fiske Planetarium as part of their annual tour for legislators, lobbyists and business leaders. Chancellor Philip DiStefano spoke with the group during the visit.
The Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØregents approved the disposition of more than half of the 308-acre Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder South property to the city of Boulder for flood mitigation and preservation of permanent open space—a key stepping stone toward annexation of the site into the Boulder city limits.
Effective Aug. 23, Katy Herbert Kotlarczyk will be the vice chancellor for advancement. The position collaborates with executive leadership, shared governance representatives and colleagues at the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØsystem and University of Colorado Foundation to set the strategic direction for advancement.

At its meeting June 17, the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoard of Regents approved the university’s 2021–22 budget, tuition changes, the election of a new board chair and more.
Proposals include aligning undergraduate tuition by area of study and setting the guaranteed tuition rate for students entering Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder in fall 2022.
On a unanimous vote, the University of Colorado Board of Regents on June 1 named Todd Saliman as the University of Colorado interim president. The appointment will begin July 1.

The University of Colorado Board of Regents and Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØPresident Mark Kennedy on May 19 agreed on the terms of Kennedy’s departure from the university, which is set for July 1.
