You don’t need a costume and you don’t need special powers to have an impact on children and inspire change in the world around you. El Pueblo Innovation Club (EPIC) is an after-school club for elementary school students that serves as a critical space to interpret and re-imagine roles as learners and teachers, in partnership with �鶹��Ѱ�����Boulder School of Education students.

In the past decade, thanks to an overwhelming scientific consensus that global temperatures are rising, “eating local” has become a way for average citizens to make a difference. And thanks to a $24,000 �鶹��Ѱ�����Boulder Outreach Award, a group of faculty and students will reach even farther into the community to increase “food literacy.”

Parking Services extends thanks to all who supported the Food for Fines event prior to Thanksgiving. With 207 parking citations forgiven and 1,784 items donated, the community food drive was a win-win for everyone involved!

�鶹��Ѱ�����Boulder alum and engineer Maithreyi Gopalakrishnan aims to revolutionize local transportation in India. In 2014, as a sophomore, she designed and developed a hybrid conversion kit for rickshaws that would benefit the environment and rickshaw drivers alike.

Every year, �鶹��Ѱ�����Boulder teams up with the city of Boulder and Community Cycles to give out free bike lights in an effort to encourage the use of lights for nighttime biking. The giveaway event will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the UMC bike station.
