Chancellor Justin Schwartz has appointed Jill Blondin as Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder's inaugural vice chancellor for global affairs, a leadership role charged with advancing the university's global engagement, partnerships and impact.
Marlon Lynch, who has led the Division of Public Safety since early 2024, will continue to serve the campus in a part-time capacity while the campus prepares major initiatives like the Sundance Film Festival.
As part of this new tenure-track faculty position, Katie Randall will build reciprocal relationships with campus and local Indigenous communities. The role reflects a shift in how Indigenous materials are treated, moving from subjects within collections to engaging with Indigenous knowledge systems as living frameworks.
Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder welcomes Carlos Jiménez as the new assistant vice chancellor for admissions and precollege, bringing 20-plus years of experience expanding access by improving pathways and reducing barriers for students across Colorado and beyond.

As the second new associate ombuds, Detric Robinson will be undergraduate student-facing and is particularly passionate about helping individuals navigate difficult conversations, explore options and gain clarity during moments of uncertainty or conflict.
AILP at the University of Colorado Law School welcomes Heidi Todacheene as visiting practitioner in residence. Todacheene (Navajo) will spend six months mentoring students in professional development, while working with faculty on Indigenous Peoples' issues, as they arise in tribal, state, federal and international contexts.
