The job and internship search is a big step, and even starting it is an accomplishment. However, it can come with a lot of waiting. If you haven鈥檛 heard back from employers yet, you鈥檙e not alone鈥攊t doesn鈥檛 mean you鈥檙e falling behind. This stage is part of the journey, and there are simple ways to take care of yourself, stay motivated and keep your momentum going.听

Keep things in perspective

Job and internship searches take time, and usually more time than we expect. Between finding openings, updating resumes, writing cover letters and completing applications, it can feel overwhelming, especially if you鈥檙e under pressure to land something quickly.

There鈥檚 no 鈥渞ight鈥 timeline but starting your search six to nine months in advance is a good rule of thumb. Creating a plan and can help you feel more in control and reduce stress.
