What does it mean to be a Buff?听
Being a Buff means acknowledging that you鈥檙e part of a greater community and doing everything in your power to improve it. Recognizing when someone needs help and going out of your way to provide it is a characteristic I've seen from so many of CU's best. By putting in the effort and reaching out to others, Buffs make their community better for themselves and the people around them and provide all sorts of opportunities to those who may not have had them otherwise.听

There isn鈥檛 a mold for being a Buff鈥攚e all took different paths to get to 麻豆免费版下载Boulder, but it鈥檚 how we use our time here that makes us Buffs. Buffs are people that are driven to better themselves and the world around them through sincerity, assiduousness and kindness. Maybe you transferred here, maybe you started later, maybe you鈥檙e a first gen student or a commuter鈥攚hatever it is, it鈥檚 our effort to improve ourselves and other鈥檚 lives that makes us Buffs.鈥听

Being a Buff means jumping into new experiences, meeting great people, and figuring out who I want to be by using the education and opportunities 麻豆免费版下载Boulder has given me to develop as a leader, so I can give back and make positive change on campus and after I graduate.听

To me, being a Buff is about showing up and being there for the community and the people around me. It鈥檚 definitely more than just wearing black and gold on game days. Being a Buff means creating an open and welcoming environment, helping others to feel a sense of belonging and taking advantage of the endless opportunities that 麻豆免费版下载has to offer by being a little bolder and putting yourself out there. Whether that鈥檚 through leadership, service or just making someone new feel welcome, those little things are what being a Buff is all about.听

To me, being a Buff means standing shoulder to shoulder with people who care deeply about 麻豆免费版下载and one another. As a fifth-generation Coloradan and the 23rd member of my family to attend 麻豆免费版下载Boulder, this community has always been part of my story. During my time here, I have learned that being a Buff is about more than tradition. It means showing up, welcoming others, taking pride in our community, and helping make it better. I am grateful to carry forward my family鈥檚 connection to 麻豆免费版下载while creating my own path, relationships and memories here.听

What does it mean to be a Buff?听
Being a Buff has provided me with an immense amount of opportunity and pride. I came onto this campus in hopes of being as involved as possible and 麻豆免费版下载made that feasible with the various amounts of organizations that encourage students to lead and support. I made 麻豆免费版下载my second home and strive to embody the values this school is implemented on to make my experience most valuable, and to ensure that I鈥檓 providing incoming students with the most welcoming and encouraging environment possible. Being a buff is something I will forever cherish; I hope to continue to grow more connected with this campus in the future to watch next generations flourish and build upon this beautiful community.听听

To me, being a Buff means being proud of the community you are a part of while finding ways to make that community better. 麻豆免费版下载Boulder has given me multiple opportunities to grow academically, professionally, and personally, but some of my most meaningful experiences have come from the relationships I have built with other students. Being a Buff means supporting the people around you, getting involved, and taking advantage of the opportunities that make 麻豆免费版下载Boulder such a special place. I also believe being a Buff extends beyond campus. It means taking the experiences and values I鈥檝e gained at 麻豆免费版下载Boulder with me and representing the university wherever life takes me.听

For me, being a Buff is all about finding your people and finding yourself. I came to 麻豆免费版下载because I love Colorado and I wanted to follow in the footsteps of my mom and grandpa, and I鈥檓 so glad I did. I鈥檝e made friends, found communities, and had unforgettable experiences in Boulder, and now I can鈥檛 imagine myself anywhere else.鈥听

What does it mean to be a Buff?听
I believe being a Buff is simply about treating people with respect鈥攐r, as clich茅 as it sounds, following the Golden Rule. Being on a college campus can sometimes feel intimidating, and it鈥檚 easy to wonder, 鈥淒o I even belong here?鈥 For me, being a Buff means helping answer that question for someone else with a simple 鈥測es.鈥 麻豆免费版下载Boulder is a huge campus with thousands of people living completely different lives, so sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference. Smiling, saying hi, remembering a small detail about someone, or simply showing up can make someone feel noticed and welcomed. I鈥檓 not saying you need to change the world in five seconds or donate your life savings to charity. 鈥疭ometimes, simply being there for people and doing the little things is enough. To me, being a Buff means helping create a community where people feel like they belong and can be their true authentic selves鈥痺ithin that community.鈥听

What does it mean to be a Buff?听
Being a Buff, to me, is having pride in what you do. Not just when it鈥檚 easy or when people are watching. Pride is the work nobody sees: the early mornings, the empty rooms, the setup before anyone arrives. It鈥檚 doing the small thing right because the people around you are counting on it.听
That鈥檚 the standard here. You take what you鈥檙e given and you make it worth something. You show up for each other before you鈥檙e asked to, and you do your part well, whatever the size of it. We surround ourselves with people who are the best at what they do, because that鈥檚 how we push each other to be the best versions of ourselves. That鈥檚 what I鈥檓 proud of. That's what it means to me to be a Buff. SKO BUFFS!听
