Community of Love: �鶹��Ѱ��Boulder Staff Council Hosts February Campus Blood Drive

This February, donate blood to show your love! �鶹��Ѱ��Boulder Staff Council, in partnership with our partner Vitalant, is excited to announce the February Blood Drive! Every donation can save up to three lives, directly impacting individuals facing medical emergencies, surgeries, or chronic illnesses. Join us to help ensure love flows where it’s needed most!

💡 Why Donate?

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Hospitals and medical facilities depend on voluntary donors to maintain a steady blood supply for life-saving treatments. Your donation ensures that those in critical need receive the care they deserve.

🔹 Our Goal:

We are striving to collect 60 units per day, and with your help, we can surpass this goal and make a lasting impact in our community. Please share and encourage others to donate blood and support those in our local community.

🔹 How to Prepare:

Review Basic Eligibility Requirements
Eat a nutritious meal and stay hydrated before your donation
Bring a valid photo ID
Get a good night's sleep the night before

Staff Council is committed to inclusivity and understands that some may not be eligible to donate. We invite all to be involved in other ways. The Staff Council Blood Drive and Community Service Committee meets the third Tuesday of every month from 10-11am via zoom. We’d love to have you join us!

We are accepting nominations for 2026 - 2027 Staff Council through February 16th and are excited to invite Classified Staff, University Staff, Professional Research Assistants, and Research Associates to join us for an information session to learn what we do, what to expect as a representative, and what the election process looks like.

Benefits of serving on Staff Council include:

Making a real impact on the lives of over 7,000 staff and research faculty.
Professional development.
Networking with staff and administration from all over the University..
Gaining a better understanding of University functions, benefits, and organization.

Information Sessions are brief presentations followed by a Q&A to answer your questions about �鶹��Ѱ��Boulder Staff Council! Staff Council meetings and committee meetings are open to the public and are currently held virtually. You can find more information, including how to attend, on the Staff Council Calendar.
