A deep look into petal colors
The Smith lab was lucky to host two local high school students, Meghan Ogilvie and Sam Hughes, to work with us on the new flower-fruit color project. Meghan and Sam learned how to painstakingly remove the petal epidermis and took fabulous images where we can see anthocyanins in vacuoles and carotenoids in chromoplasts.  They won most visually appealing poster at the end of semester session for the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØScience Discovery program. Congrats, Sam and Meghan!
