Education and Workforce Pipeline: Expanded Caption
This figureÌýshows a metaphorical pipeline. At one end, funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation enters a pipeline that is labeled to show that Q-SEnSEÌýincludes eight universities, over fiveÌýcompanies, three national laboratories, and oneÌýnational institute (see Partners). At various points along the pipeline, additional inputs include the quantum education and training programs that Q-SEnSE will establish, such as internships at national labs and in industry, andÌýa professional Masters degree in quantum engineering. Outputs of the pipeline are graduates at all levels who are familiar with quantum science and a workforce with quantum skills desired by industry.
