Alpine
Alpine is a heterogeneous supercomputing cluster with CPU, GPU, and high-memory resources interconnected by high-speed networking. 听Alpine is jointly funded by the 麻豆免费版下载, the University of Colorado Anschutz, Colorado State University, and the National Science Foundation (award #2201538 and #2322260).
Research Computing is excited to announce that a major expansion of Alpine resources is now available for use! Central to this expansion is a significant increase in GPU capacity, driven by growing demand and designed to reduce job wait times, support AI/ML workflows, and boost overall computational power for our research community. This expansion adds the following compute resources:

- 32 NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 GPUs (8 nodes, 4 GPUs per node)
- 32 NVIDIA H200 GPUs (8 nodes, 4 GPUs per node)
- 2,176 CPU cores (17 standard CPU nodes, 128 cores per node)
In this release, all CPU-only compute nodes have been added to the 鈥渁cpu鈥 partition. Additionally, the new GPU nodes have been added to their own partition (named after the respective GPU type).
