Connor Bonan-Hamada is a multimedia artist working out of eastern Colorado. his main focuses are film, photography, and tabletop game design. He majored in media production at Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder with Minor in Japanese.

When you don't see, when you don't hear, when you don't taste Is a documentary in two parts about the artists grandmothers experience as a Japanese American during WWII. The first part of the film uses handheld footage of the Amache national historic site in southeastern Colorado and archival footage from the Wartime Relocation Authority to show the injustice of the treatment of Japanese Americans during WWII. The second part of the film is taken from the Aloha festival in Pheonix Arizona and follows the subject of the film as she searches the vendors for a hat.
This is a picture of my grandmother and cousin when I was visiting to get the second round of footage for my project at the phoenix Aloha festival.
