My capstone final project was a short stop-motion animation video inspired by the Christopher Nolan movie Interstellar. I used three of the film's most iconic and memorable scenes as the setting for my character's journey, and the score by Hans Zimmer, which has become one of the most recognizable movie scores of all time, was in the background. I had a lot of fun working on this project, even if it was incredibly tedious. It was a new and unique experience, and I'm glad I chose it as my capstone. Ìý

My name is Thomas Keller, a media production major with a minor in sports media, and I am a videographer and photographer who specializes in documentary filmmaking. My work emphasizes strong composition, thoughtful pacing, and clean, intentional editing. I am proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, and have experience carrying out projects from early concept through final delivery. I enjoy working across the full production process and adapting my skills to different creative needs.

Into The Stars
My capstone final project is titled "Into The Stars" and is a short stop-motion animation video inspired by the film Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan. For the project, I recreated three of the movie's most iconic and visually memorable scenes, using them as the backdrop for my own original character's journey. Each scene required careful attention to detail, from lighting and camera angles to the precise movement of objects frame by frame. I also incorporated the powerful, emotional score by the incredible Hans Zimmer, whose music has become one of the film's most recognizable elements. The combination of visuals and sound helped bring the animation to life and added depth to the storytelling. Although the process was incredibly time-consuming and required a lot of patience, it was also rewarding and enjoyable. Overall, this project challenged me creatively and technically, which is what I wanted from my capstone, so I am glad I chose it.Ìý
