Jessica Bernfeld joined KWIP as a staff attorney in August 2025. Prior to joining KWIP, she practiced criminal defense in Colorado, first as a trial attorney in the Arapahoe office of the Colorado State Public Defender and then in solo practice where she primarily represented youth charged as adults for serious felonies. Jessica received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, an M.Phil from the School of Social Sciences at Cardiff University, and her B.A. from Wellesley College.
