Your student's end-of-semester checklist
The finish line is in sight, and the end of the fall semester is almost here! Wherever your Buff is in their academic journey, here’s a checklist to help them close out the semester.Ìý
Get organized
Between final exams and end-of-semester papers and projects coming up, many students may feel busier than usual. Encourage your student to visit colorado.edu/finals for tips, resources and more.
Take breaks, fuel up and stay connectedÌýÌý
There will be many events coming up that allow Buffs to take study breaks, enjoy free food, de-stress and have fun. Here are some to share with your student:Ìý

Find support
It’s never too late for your student to ask for help if they need it! They can take advantage of academic and non-academic resources available Ìýto help them prepare for the end of the semester. Your student can:
- Check out tutoring, help labs and other learning resources.Ìý
- Find mental health support with Counseling & Psychiatric Services.Ìý
- Get assistance with family emergencies, hospitalization or other extenuating circumstances through Student Outreach, Advocacy & Support.ÌýÌý
- Connect with the Basic Needs Center if they’re experiencing food or housing insecurities.Ìý
Save the date
If your student is looking to join something new in the spring semester, share these events and upcoming deadlines with them:
: Your student can meet with campus departments who are hiring student employees at this fair on Jan. 15.
Be Involved Fair: At this event on Jan. 21, your student can meet with hundreds of student organizations and learn about how to get involved on campus.
Sko Serve Spring Break Program: Sko Serve sends teams of college students to engage in meaningful service during their breaks from school. Applications are open from Nov. 10 through Jan. 30.
: Your student can get involved in their community, learn new skills and make connections through volunteering! They can meet local organizations with volunteer opportunities at this event on Feb. 3.
