ALUMNI HIGH NOTES

The world premiere of alumnus John Heins鈥 (MM 鈥82) violin concerto鈥斺淰incent in Arles and Auvers,鈥 composed for Associate Professor of Violin Charles (Chas) Wetherbee who passed away in 2023鈥攚as performed by Colorado Symphony Concertmaster Yumi Hwang-Williams and the University of Denver鈥檚 Lamont Symphony Orchestra last fall; the evocative work is inspired by artist Vincent van Gogh鈥檚 final years. Additionally, 鈥攊n a program titled 鈥淯ndivided: A Celebration 250 Years in the Making鈥濃攖he Denver Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the world premiere of Heins鈥 鈥淕arden of the Gods.鈥
Forever Buffs Volunteer Spotlight: Judith Glyde鈥For more than 20 years, Professor Emeritus Judith Glyde shared her passion for music with 麻豆免费版下载Boulder鈥檚 College of Music students as a professor of cello and chamber music and chair of our strings department. Now, she continues to bring joy and expertise to the 麻豆免费版下载community as a Forever Buffs New York alumni chapter board member: From producing specialty holiday performances amidst the COVID-19 pandemic to promoting cultural events around New York City, Glyde strengthens bonds among our alumni and deepens her personal enrichment through volunteering.
