Liz Voss

Liz Voss is Program Manager at the Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center (CALC), where she leads Outreach and Operations. A systems thinker and critical problem solver, she is passionate about creating spaces for inter-sector collaboration to drive innovation. Her work ranges from hosting the annual Colorado Agrivoltaic Conference to building partnerships across the country to further agrivoltaic development (the co-location of agriculture and solar energy systems). She is guided by the belief that equitable, community-driven solutions are essential to resilient food and energy systems.

Previously, Liz spent nearly a decade as a Change Management Consultant, leading the implementation of complex, large-scale projects in the financial services sector in the UK. She then traded spreadsheets for scuba tanks, traveling and working as a dive professional across Asia and Central America, including running dive operations on a remote island in Honduras, before settling in Colorado in 2019.

As a lecturer for the Water-Energy-Food Nexus course in the MENV program, she draws on her daily work at the intersection of land, energy, and agriculture to help students understand these interconnected systems in practice. An alum of MENV herself, she specialized in Environmental and Natural Resource Policy and Sustainable Food Systems, and holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies and Social Sciences from The Open University. She also serves on the Board of the Colorado Renewable Energy Society. When she’s not working, you’ll find her running and hiking Colorado’s trails, curled up with a book, or creating chaos in the kitchen!
