Frequency Combs & Quantum Metrology Group

This is the web home of the research group of Prof. Scott Diddams. We seek to develop optical measurement tools that lead to new physical understanding and enable technological and scientific breakthroughs. A central theme is the development and use of optical frequency combs for quantum metrology. This includes topics in laser science and engineering, precision timing, optical clocks, astronomy, ultrafast lasers and nonlinear optics, nonlinear nano-photonics, microwave photonics, and spectroscopy from the UV to THz.
