ISSS cheers on the Colorado Rapids!
On April 11, nearly 50 ISSS students and staff traveled together to see Colorado’s professional soccer team - the Colorado Rapids - take on the Houston Dynamo at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City. The Rapids delivered an incredible performance, scoring six goals to Houston’s two! Before kickoff, the group enjoyed a lively tailgate filled with music, food, and pickup soccer games, giving students a chance to relax and connect. And, after a refreshing rain shower, fans were treated to a rainbow and a beautiful evening sky, making the experience even more memorable.
The Colorado Rapids are celebrating their 30th year this spring, and last weekend, they hosted Inter Miami, the 2025 MLS Cup Champions, and Inter Miami’s legendary Argentinian playmaker, Lionel Messi. ISSS is looking forward to our next trip and a summer filled with professional football/soccer, as the U.S., Canada, and Mexico co-host the 2026 World Cup – the world’s most-watched sporting tournament.
