Updated FAQsÌý
Ìý
The FAQs on the System OfficeÌý will grow as the project progresses. Two recent additions are:Ìý
1. How will this change affect payroll deductions for health insurance or retirement?
Just as taxes are withheld from every paycheck, PERA or 401(a) contributions will be deducted for each pay period based on that paycheck’s earnings. The university is still determining how health plan deductions will be handled. Employees will need to update their personal direct deposits and optional deductions. An upcoming checklist in the Employee Toolkit will outline the steps and deadlines.Ìý
2. How will this change affect sick leave or vacation time accrual?Ìý
With biweekly pay in arrears, leave taken during a pay period will be fully processed before payroll runs, aligning with how leave balances are reflected on pay stubs. Employees paid biweekly will accrue vacation and sick leave each pay period rather than once per month.Ìý
