Explore, research, create

Build your A&S Honors experience your way

As an A&S Honors Buff, you have multiple avenues to develop original ideas through research or creative projects.

To learn more about each option, click on the links:

  • Take an Honors class.  Honors classes give you the opportunity to form close connections with professors and classmates, have thoughtful discussions, and develop original ideas through research or creative projects that reflect your interests.
  • Get published in the Honors Journal. Transform your research or creative work into a published piece, gain experience communicating your ideas, and contribute to a community of student scholars and creators.
  • Interested in the publishing side? HONR 3220-881, offered every spring, gives you the opportunity to develop writing, editing, communication, and digital publishing skills, including layout with Adobe InDesign, while helping bring the Honors Journal to life.
  • Write an Honors thesis. Take a deep dive into a question, problem, or creative endeavor that inspires you while working one-on-one with faculty mentors to produce a substantial original project.
