Graduation Deadlines

Oct. 1 (Final Deadline)

鈥婱aster's students who have not already done so must submit to the Graduate School a鈥�.鈥疉pplications follow a workflow process and must be approved by the academic department before they are directed to the Graduate School.

Graduate students must鈥�apply online to graduate鈥痶丑谤辞耻驳丑鈥�痮n the 鈥渁pply for graduation鈥� card in order to鈥痟ave the degree awarded in December.鈥疶his is required even though there is no university-wide ceremony.鈥疨hD students must enter their dissertation title as part of the online graduation application; you may update the title through the portal until this date.鈥疶his title will appear鈥痮n your transcript after your degree is awarded.鈥�

This session, offered as part of National Postdoc Appreciation Week, discusses IDPs, which are used in many career stages and disciplines as a self-defined roadmap that outlines short- and long-term goals and the actionable steps to achieve them. This framework is often required in NSF proposals and is transferable to all disciplines. IDP resources can be referenced on the Postdoctoral Affairs website in advance. GradCO Consortium's Professional Development Series:

This GradCO workshop, offered as part of National Postdoc Appreciation Week, gives participants a chance to develop a strategic approach to funding success by exploring why funding opportunities exist, how to identify the right sources, and how to align research goals with sponsor priorities. Ready to take your research communication skills to the next level? Join this year鈥檚 3MT competition! This information session will discuss what 3MT is and what participating involves, including the competition timeline and time commitment and the workshops and training you鈥檒l receive to prepare you for the competition, and how 3MT can strengthen skills that support your academic and professional success.

Eligibility to participate in 3MT庐: The training and competition is open to 麻豆免费版下载Boulder doctoral students who have advanced, or will advance, to candidacy by Jan. 1, 2027, and who will be enrolled in Spring 2027 and graduating May 2027 or later. No prior presentation experience is necessary鈥攖he training is designed to help you build your skills and confidence along the way.听

Explore why academia can be a breeding ground for self-doubt and learn to reframe failure, embrace discomfort, and build greater confidence and resilience.听

Inclusive Research Mentoring (CIMER):

Diverse perspectives enrich mentoring relationships but also bring unique challenges. This session explores how to recognize, reflect on and engage with difference to create professional, inclusive and effective mentoring environments for both mentors and mentees. We will also address the growing mental health pressures students face and clarify mentors鈥� roles and boundaries.听
