MOVE-IN

Tuesday, August 12 – Drop-off Day (9am-3pm) Parents/students can drop-off items to their assigned rooms but cannot “move-in” – 1776 appointments
Friday, August 15 – Move-in (10am – 1pm) – 1470 appointments
Saturday, August 16 – Move-in (10am – 1pm) – 600 appointments
Sunday, August 17 – Move-in (10am – 4pm) – 2418 appointments
Monday, August 18 – Move-in (9am – 4pm) – 3027 appointments
Tuesday, August 19 – Move-in (9am – 12:30pm) – 1698 appointments

General Parking Notes:

All visitor parking lots, including metered and pay station parking, Euclid Parking Garage and Folsom Parking Garage (Visitor level P1) will be closed August 17-19. These areas are allocated for move-in operations/event parking.
During move-in operations vehicles parked in designated Quick Drop Zones, fire lanes, ADA spaces (without a permit/placard) will be subject to relocation at the owner’s expense.
Only vehicles displaying move-in permits will be allowed access to Regent Drive from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 17th, Monday, August 18th, and Tuesday, August 19th.
Only vehicles displaying move-in permits are allowed access to Main Campus, Williams Village and Bear Creek parking lots during move-in parking closures (August 17, 18, and 19.)
Vehicles entering or exiting during this time must follow the active move-in traffic pattern as directed by Parking personnel.

Accessibility and Accommodations:
ADA permit holders may park in their permitted lot or will be directed to the closest available space.

On Central campus:

Willard will unload from lots 319 and 327
Hallett will unload from lot 430 (business lot)
Cheynne will unload from lot 310 and from Wardenburg Drive
Farrand will unload from Wardenburg Drive
Quad, Libby, and Baker will unload from lot 360
Sewall will unload from lot 380

After unloading in the lots above, students and families move their cars to:

Lot 391 (Folsom Garage)
Lot 205 (CASE Garage)
Lot 204
Lot 308 (C4C)
Lot 436 (Regent & Colorado behind CUPD)

Kitt will unload from anywhere in the Kitt Loop (Lots 404, 406, 412, 416, 414, 415, 418

Will Vill unloads from lots 622, 618, the Stearns Bus Stop, and along Apache Dr.

VERY busy traffic planned on the following:

Sunday, August 17 between 9am and 4pm
Monday, August 18 between 8am and 4pm
Tuesday, August 19 between 8am and 1pm

There will also be move-in traffic also during the following times (just in smaller quantities)

Tuesday, August 12 between 9am and 3pm (Drop off day, about 900 appointments)
Friday, August 15 between 9:30am and 12:30 pm (Pre-arrival programs, about 1000 appointments)

The University Club will undergo essential walkway repairs this summer to improve accessibility and safety. The project includes replacing deteriorated stone walkways and upgrading the southwest entrance to meet ADA standards. Please plan ahead for alternate routes and temporary closures.

Area Affected:

SW entrance walkway from the Broadway bike path to the SW entrance

Pedestrian Access:

ADA access ramp will be installed on the southwest side.
ADA traffic will be rerouted through the east terrace and Silver and Gold Ballroom to access elevators.
All other pedestrian traffic will be redirected to the north entrances.

The Regent Garage (Lot 436) will be completely closed for annual power washing and cleaning starting at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, and will reopen at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 3. During this time, no vehicles will be able to enter or park in the garage. Please note that the fire alarms and elevator will also be turned off throughout the closure. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we complete this important maintenance work.

The �鶹��Ѱ��Museum of Natural History in the Henderson building will be temporarily closed through the end of 2025 to align with the final phase of the Hellems renovation. Both buildings will reopen together at the end of 2025—refreshed and ready to welcome students, campus, and visitors.

A portion of the sidewalk along the east side of Regent Drive, in front of the Event Center, will be closed from July 31 - September 8, 2025, to accommodate storm line work as part of the CHAP Building project. The closure will last for approximately 25 business days, and signage will be posted to direct pedestrians around the affected area. Please plan accordingly and follow posted detours for your safety.

During a campus waterline replacement project, 18th Street between Broadway and Euclid will undergo phased closures for new waterline installation and roadway restoration.

Proposed construction schedule (subject to change based on field conditions):

From June 2 to July 11 the southbound lane from Lot 204 to Broadway will be closed (one northbound lane will remain open to allow access into Lot 204 and the Wardenburg lot).

From July 11 to July 25 there will be phased closures of 18th Street to allow access to lots 204, 310 and 325. Various traffic patterns will be utilized; vehicles and pedestrians should follow posted signage in and around the construction zone.

Sidewalks in the area will also be closed during construction. Impacted buildings include Music, Wardenburg, CASE, and parking lots 204 and 310. Please refer to posted signage and reroute maps for �鶹��Ѱ��Buff Bus summer service.

Buff Bus reroute during this project:

From July 26 to August 1, there will be a complete closure of 18th Street from Broadway to Euclid. There will be no access to lot 204 during this phase. People needing vehicle access to Wardenburg during this time, including lots 310 and 324, will need to access Wardenburg Drive via Colorado Ave (lot 360 entrance) to Libby Drive to Baker Drive to Wardenburg Drive.
