I am a historian of the United States and a developmental editor.

From 2014 to 2025, I was a teaching associate professor at the Department of at the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØ. (Check them out, lots of nice and smart people there!)

I'm now a freelance academic developmental editor. That means I help scholars (in history and other fields) improve the structure, argument, and flow of their manuscripts. I work with manuscripts at any stage, ranging from the initial idea to the final rethinking of the introduction and the conclusion.

My own research focuses on labor and social history around the turn of the twentieth century. I also do a fair bit of digital humanities and computationally oriented work. My first book, was published by the University of Illinois Press in 2023 and can be thanks to a (Toward an Open Monograph Ecosystem) grant.Â
