Campos Student Center Scholarship Graduate Assistant Job Description

The Campos Student Center (CSC) welcomes applications for the Scholarship Graduate Assistant role!

The purpose of this position is to support the CSC mission to foster a sense of belonging for underserved and marginalized students in the College of Engineering & Applied Sciences (CEAS). This is an administrative position that works toward tracking, creating, and managing scholarship requirements for all CSC Scholars (up to 300 students) through Excel documents, a Canvas page, and advising meetings with students.

Job responsibilitiesÌý

Scholarship AdministrationÌý

  • Coordinate with the CSC Scholarship Team to review scholarship applications using the BAM Management system. Additionally, support the training of scholarship reviewers and assist with scholarship awarding.
  • Help manage the CSC canvas page, collecting quiz data to assess scholarship status for CSC Scholars (and partner scholars).
  • Contributes to updated Canvas page by helping with posting weekly announcements of upcoming events that fulfill scholarship requirements (including events such as career fairs which cannot be replicated by our center).
  • At the end of the semester, helps to finish with all Canvas grading and updating of scholarship spreadsheets for end of semester notification of probation due to lack of requirement completion.

Event SupportÌý

  • Supports coordination of CSC student engagement programs, including creating and publishing of event flyers, both printed and digital (CSC newsletter and Canvas posts).Ìý
  • Positively represent and advocate for the CSC Center and CSC Scholars at meetings, conferences, and presentations.
  • Meet regularly with the Scholarship Program ManagerÌý
  • In conjunction with Program Managers, reports and tracks scholarship recipients’ academic performance and participation requirements.Ìý
    • Provides regular updates to supervisor when errors occur such as attendance not being collected by a society

Student Advising and Data GatheringÌý

  • Assists with group and individual advising for students across all scholarship teams
  • Helps with planning and presenting during the yearly CSC Pre-Arrival to orient students to the campus and to connect mentors to future mentees.Ìý
  • Contribute to annual reports and manage the collection and synthesis of data for the CSC Center, industry partners, and stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other InformationÌý

  • Position is a Student Hourly position for an average of 10 hours a week.Ìý
  • Hourly pay is set at $21.25 an hour with no other benefits.Ìý
  • Must be actively enrolled in classes full-timeÌýin a master's Program at Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder in engineering, higher education, engineering education, or a related field.ÌýÌý
