Teacher Leadership
- When Paolo Chavez Calvadores started teaching in rural Colorado, he yearned for a more intentional approach to his work and how he shows up in the world. Originally from the Philippines, Calvadores came to the United States hoping to “grow as an educator and serve students in a meaningful way," he said.
This summer, the Teacher Leadership program celebrated its fifth anniversary—a milestone made possible by the dedication of teachers, partners and supporters in Colorado and beyond. Emily Gleason, faculty director of the Online Teacher Leadership program, reflects on how far the program has come and the ongoing need to support teacher leaders.
