LLuvuyo Rani is a globally recognised social entrepreneur, founder of Silulo Ulutho Technologies and Executive Director of Africa Forward, a pan-African initiative focused on advancing inclusive development, entrepreneurship, and innovation across the continent.

From his early beginnings as a high school teacher in Khayelitsha, Luvuyo has built one of South Africa’s most impactful social enterprises, committed to empowering individuals in townships and rural areas through access to technology, digital skills, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Since founding Silulo in 2004, he has championed community-led development and inclusive innovation, opening up pathways for economic participation in underserved communities.
Luvuyo has been honoured with several prestigious accolades, including being named a Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year.
