Her work will be supported by a $549,513 CAREER grant from the National Science Foundation鈥撯搊ne of the most prestigious awards given to faculty in the early phases of their careers.

The series is the winner of this year鈥檚 Al Nakkula Award for police reporting, co-sponsored by The Denver Press Club and CMCI.
