With over 20 years of communication experience, Cheri Felix engages her students by fostering both their academic growth and their professional readiness. She is committed to preparing them not only for success at Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder but also for the challenges and opportunities of their future careers. Now an Assistant Teaching Professor of Public Relations, she teaches courses in strategic communication, content strategy, media planning, strategic thinking, and the senior capstone.
Prior to her teaching at Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder, Cheri worked in marketing communications for GE Access, freelanced as a travel writer for Travelocity.com, and was an owner and staff writer for a Colorado-based digital cycling publication. This blend of corporate, freelance, and journalistic work informs her teaching and helps students connect theory to real-world practice. She has taught in the APRD department since 2023, bringing both academic insight and professional experience into the classroom.
Cheri earned her Master of Arts in Corporate Communication from the Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØ, with studies in crisis communication, issues management, and communication metrics. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Âé¶¹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder.
