- IFS Director

Growing up a military brat overseas, Jason fell in love with movies since they were the only entertainment he was sent from extended family back in the US that was in English. Eventually he and his family moved to Colorado in the late 90s, where he tried his hand at small video productions with his friends. Jason pursued the study of film and movie making right out of High School while working for a major theater chain, briefly attending the Colorado Film School in Aurora, and finally landing in Boulder. Jason graduated from Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂÔØBoulder with a BFA in Film Studies (now Cinema Studies) in 2015. His first feature film was released in 2017, and he continues to work in various capacities on other productions including roles as DP, AD, editor, sound editing/mixing, marketing, and other post-production activities.
As the Instruction Support Manager, Jason oversees technical and operational support for the department, particularly as it pertains to Critical Studies functions. He and his team provide support for faculty and department programs to ensure that the mission for Cinema Studies is met and students are given the best possible experience in their classes.
Jason is also the Director if the International Film Series program. This program, which was founded in 1941, showcases films from all around the world and provides unique opportunities for students and community members to experience hard to find, classic, and influential films in a large auditorium with both state-of-the-art DCP projection as well as classic 35mm analog systems. Calendars are released each semester, with around 60 titles shown throughout each calendar. Current shows and schedule archives can be found on .
