Kristi Anseth, Christopher Bowman named Hagler Fellows

Two chemical and biological engineering faculty members have been named to the 2026-27 class of Hagler Fellows at Texas A&M University’s Hagler Institute for Advanced Study.

Kristi Anseth, distinguished professor and Tisone professor of chemical and biological engineering, and Christopher Bowman, distinguished professor and James and Catherine Patten endowed chair in chemical and biological engineering, are among 11 distinguished scholars selected for the new class.

Anseth is internationally recognized for her work combining biology and engineering to advance biomaterials, regenerative medicine, tissue engineering and drug discovery.

Bowman is a pioneer in photopolymerization and polymeric materials, developing new materials with novel properties and characteristics.

Both will collaborate with faculty and students in Texas A&M University's College of Engineering during their time as Hagler Fellows.
